DeWitt Veterinary Hospital is Hiring a Kennel Attendant Near De Witt, MI
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the care and handling of animals in the kennel
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal housing areas
- Feed and water animals according to established schedules
- Walk dogs and provide exercise in the morning and again in the evenings with some general cleaning duties
- Administer medications or treatments to animals as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to supervisory staff
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals preferred but not required
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Good communication skills and ability to provide friendly customer service
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, stooping, and standing for long periods of time
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed
